Delete your account

TrufflePops lets you delete your account and all associated data at any time. This page explains how to make that request, what we delete, and how long anything is kept.
1. Delete from within the app
The quickest way to delete your account is in the app:
- Open TrufflePops and tap the profile icon (top-left of Home).
- Open the Account screen.
- Tap Delete account and confirm. Your account is scheduled for deletion straight away.
2. Delete without the app installed
If you no longer have the app, email us at support@trufflepops.com.au from your registered email address, with the subject “Delete my account”. We’ll verify it’s you and process the request within 30 days.
3. What data is deleted
When your request is processed, we permanently erase the personal data associated with your account, including:
- your account identity — name, email address and/or phone number;
- your goals, habits, streaks, check-in history and companion (pet) data;
- your onboarding survey responses and app preferences;
- your connections and shared-goal data, including pending invites and pairing requests;
- your registered devices and notification tokens.
4. Recovery period and data retention
Deletion is not instant. Your account is first placed in a 30-day recovery period. During this window you can restore everything simply by signing back in and choosing “Restore my account”. After 30 days, your data is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our systems, and your sign-in is removed.
We do not keep your personal data beyond this period, except limited records we are required to retain by law — for example, subscription and transaction records, which are held by Apple, Google or our payment processor under their own retention policies and are outside our control.
